On August 18 Venus becomes an Evening Star for the next nine months. Venus is associated with love, money, values and social skills/interactions. During the Morning Star phase she is warrior-like pursuing worldly gain with vigilance. In her Evening Star phase she becomes the wise woman, contemplative and supportive, doing for others rather than self. We can look toward more peaceful activity, less harried and more hope-filled as well as encouraging rapport within relationships.
Mercury of communication, travel and scheduling has entered the organized, discriminating and reasonable sign of Virgo for the next 67 days (the norm is 21-23). We need to organize rather than agonize, do our fact finding and analysis and be more accommodating by being of service to others. Mercury creates his delays and annoying little mishaps and misunderstandings for three weeks starting at the end of this month (happens three times a year). Mars and Mercury are both ‘moving against the flow' creating a bit of added stress and tension, to ensure that we actually learn to ‘walk the talk'! These areas will be addressed within the signs.
Aries March 21-April 19
Review ‘lessons' in the basics of life time to organize and stream-line daily routines - cooking, cleaning, paying the bills and maintenance on house, car, etc. Don't put off any appointments related to health or your well-being. Good time to mend relationships with co-workers and individuals in your everyday life. Instead of taking pride in your common sense, show that you know how to use it. Venus gives a boost to romance and encourages the creative/innovative approach.
Taurus April 20-May 20
You may know best, however, keep practical advise to kids or lover encouraging and non-judgmental to promote better rapport. Life is not black and white. Apply the skills of your hands and mind to create something that gives you both pleasure and satisfaction, be it a garden, painting, renovated house or rebuilt car. Good time to pull out projects off the ‘back-burner'. It's important to have fun and enjoy each moment. Family ties grow stronger.
Gemini May 21-June 20
Agonizing over future security only creates frustration, time to roll up your sleeves and work constructively toward solutions is what walking the talk is about for you. We are often surprised to learn how others view us, now you'll likely contemplate your perceptions in the light of these insights. Changes, renovations or disrupted routines coupled with challenges and extra demands at work can keep you busy now. Good time to improve relations with siblings, cousins and neighbours.
Cancer June 21-July 22
Prior to action we contemplate, analyze, weigh the pros and cons - now it is about education, communication, transportation and/or community activity. Decisions needed can range from which school to pick to which car to buy; this year overall is about making practical choices. You are making choices which influence the next 30 years, take your time. A welcome boost to your bottom line, extra money and praise as you are seen as hard-working and reliable.
Leo July 23-Aug. 22
Ah, so nice for Leo, Venus makes her mark in your sign, say thank you. Expansive, contented and affectionate tones colour your world for the next nine months; now perhaps you'll learn to appreciate yourself as others do. Money and possessions need organization, learning to budget more effectively will boost security levels. How you want to spend your time can become an issue as you need to feel that your efforts satisfy you both at the compensation and appreciation level.
Virgo Aug. 23-Sept. 22
You live through your senses, enjoyment of your meals, work, hobbies, and other pursuits is important to you. Stagnant activity needs to be revitalized or energized, if not then eliminated. Good time to get your dietary and exercise regimen in better shape. When you feel energized you'll be better equipped to work on realizing your dreams and aspirations. Wisdom grows out of flashes of insight helping to understand our inner mission, which results a renewed sense of purpose.
Libra Sept. 23-Oct. 22
Steady, hard work with a view on future goals can be somewhat challenging. Take time for reflection as well as relaxation. Our ultimate goal is to live each day to the fullest, but we can only accomplish this if we learn to appreciate each moment. "If I had known I would have ... differently" is a common theme in literature, the advise is: "The sublimity of wisdom is to do those things living, which are to be desired when dying." Networking, meeting others who share your passion for making a difference and working at creating something for the many. Try to critique the comments only not the individuals voicing them. What do you want for the next decade - and what are you doing to get there? Time to stop just talking about it, cease the opportunities to walk the talk. People matter now, relationships, especially committed ones get a boost of romance, fun and pleasure. Yes, you need to accept that people like to bond for a life-time or more. An excellent two months to get all of those obligations sorted out - mortgage, investments, insurance, taxes - the inevitable matters we need to eventually all deal with.
Pisces Feb. 19-March 20
The mountains echo our shouts, the same applies to relationships, that is the way we are treated by others reflects our actions and treatment of them. When we adjust our attitude we are making subtle adjustments in those around us, not overnight rather over time. The fear of being hurt is strong in Pisces, and many construct heavy emotional barricades. Love can grow strong now, provided you'll let it, be patient and understanding. Work and chores progress with ease, and vitality levels increase.

VOC Moon periods happen once every 2½ days, lasting a few moments to maybe two days (rare). Typical advice: avoid starting anything, scheduling appointments, don't buy something you can't return, etc.
The gist of this phenomena is that 'nothing will come of it'. The Moon forms no communication lines with other planets, and we don't seem to be able to make productive connections with others. Use this time to take care of routine chores without urgent deadlines, brainstorm, meditate or take your down time.
