The bracketed notes at the end of the analysis refer to sections in the annual write up that may be helpful in understanding the reasoning behind the write up. For example, NN represents North Node. The pertinent dates are at the end of this write up for quick reference. This write up prints at about six pages.
2005-mid 2006 is primarily about career and home. The big build up with additional money, responsibility and rewards takes place mid-2006. It is all about taking initiative, showing your talents and skills. You may have already switched direction or jobs, or that may be around the corner for you. You need to watch that you leave some time for yourself as well. It becomes very easy to be singularly focused on work throughout the second half of 2005. You have tons of new ideas just seeking for outlet for their expression. This year you are almost a human dynamo in your inspired approach to be and do your best. Family demands may also increase at this time, and making sweeping changes at home can be possible. For some of us sweeping changes might be new furniture for others it takes a new country, house, etc. [NN]
Until late October Jupiter better known as Mr. Big stays in your fourth house of home, which at the very least is an indication of wanting more in that area. Typically it marks a year when our family grows, we have a more social year and host more parties and gatherings. Family becomes more important for now. In November this planet, known as the lucky one, moves into your fifth house of romance, children and creativity bringing with more expansion in those areas. More about that in the 2006 issue. As you may notice the big themes for you this year are family, intimate relationships and career. There is inspiration and hard work in the stars for you, but with potential for making a comfortable groove for the next decade. It is 5% inspiration and 95% sweat - just ask any artist. The definition of an artist by the way is not only about creating paintings, books, poetry - no, it is about applying creative ideas and skills to produce something that you enjoy and appreciate.
The Mercury periods highlight three areas in your life. The ones at the end of the year both 2004 and 2005, bring the house of work into focus. Inspired ideas can make work, chores and learning new skills seem exciting and interesting. Love what you do or learn to love it or change it, those are the issues on your plate now and throughout 2005. These can be those years when we juggle a few jobs and perhaps even take night classes. Learning how to delegate and cope better with co-workers helps improve your attitude in your daily life. There are better ways to accomplish tasks, and you are likely brimming with ideas. Sharing your ideas without upsetting others around you can be a tad more challenging. However, you'll find the right words.
The Mercury period in the Spring underscores the messages about career stated above. Diplomacy and tact with bosses, etc. is a must during this period. Impulse control might be quite the challenge, but you can rise to the occasion. Your eyes are rather firmly focused on what the future holds, thus chances are you won't 'fight' for anything trivial. How you deal with authority figures, starting with parents continuing through bosses and governmental bodies is under personal review. You want to right any wrongs, and being too impetuous could cause more harm than its worth. We all make mistakes, it is how we react when it happens that either makes it even bigger or keeps things in realistic perspective.
If you started something new in the Spring of 2001 - it can now yield beautiful rewards. Any positive shifts and changes that took place back then are coming to fruition. It can also be a time of quiet realization that you want different things from life from here on out. This once again underscores that career sector and implies a potential for recognition and compliments. What else is in the career sector of the horoscope you may ask if you don't have a career. Being a mother is a career, so is being active in any volunteer position and collectively we call these pursuits our avocation, which is our calling or our strong desire. The spotlight is on you - take a bow.
This theme has been going on for a year and a half now. Initially we feel the limitations and recognize the need for change within us. It can feel heavy and depressing, but ultimately that is not the lasting energy. This is a strong year for maturation, taking responsibility for your own actions and stepping into the big world with a strong sense of yes, I can despite whatever else is going on. It is also an excellent time to start a diet you can stick to, change your attitude and be a big boy or big girl with it. When we consciously try to offer the best we've got, the rewards both internal and external are wonderful and these we get to keep. This is not about luck rather our personal perseverance and effort paying off. Naturally we need to apply elbow grease to do it, resting on our laurels accomplishes nothing.
In July when Saturn moves onto Leo, for the next 2.5 years (until September
2007) and now we'll be talking about money, your values, ethics and priorities.
Initially we always feel limited, so with money for example, we may feel that
we are not getting ahead. Well, Saturn is here to teach you that it is not
we make but what we don't spend that gets us ahead. You may find an extra
impetus now to continue with two jobs or get another one to help secure a
steady financial standing. Especially during the summer months. Over the longer
period you'll be gaining a new perspective into your personal values and priorities
and in the end have a better understanding on how you want to spend your valued,
precious time.
The third Mercury period in the Summer involves the house of money. Now it is about our ability to sustain ourselves, to earn a living and to value our own convictions. You may find that the views of others have you questioning the validity of your personal beliefs. What kind of feedback are you giving yourself at the moment? Are you doing great or feeling like the fun has gone out of it all? Looking for inspiration is the theme. Once those passions are ignited there is no stopping you. There are only so many hours and you want to be making the most of them, thus it may be a good time to trim down your schedule. And on an advisory note, thefts are more prevalent during the times Mercury is retrograde so remember to lock up and keep close tabs on your possessions. [Mercury]
At the same time Mercury travels through Leo and has taken up residency there for two months, Mars moves in for an extended, six month, visit of 11th house. This area is where astrology looks to for friends, acquaintances, and helpful people. It is a mixed bag as we also have Mars going against the grain for just over two months - times listed below. Some friendships will likely undergo a change or vanish completely, as your values may no longer match theirs. If you have children their affairs may be quite pronounced, and need a lot of attention and be perhaps somewhat challenging. This is also the time when we are rewarded for our efforts from our career or avocation in direct proportion to the effort we have expended. Mars is in the sign of money is Taurus. Taurus loves the good things in life, explores life through the senses and does not like to be pushed to do anything until he/she is ready. This influence can naturally really liven up your sexual life; beware external temptations; the grass really isn't greener...
Venus spends three months in your house of relationships and co-operation. So the third emphasis for you this year is strongly linked to how you relate with others. Are you as good at cooperating as you'd like to be? This can be a time when we question the love of our significant other. It is not about walking away and looking for someone new. The best relationships taking tender loving care, and we are periodically (every eight years in the case of Venus) reminded that we need to take time to evaluate how to improve our relationships. Ultimately this is about a relationship maturing to a new level. Romances launched during the 40 day period when Venus is retrograde tend to be just an affair. [Venus]
Around late September and early October, there is strong emphasis on romantic relationships either beginning or the existing one moves to a new level. The sound of wedding bells is strong for those with planets in mid-Cancer, for example those born early July will have their Sun in the position. This configuration also has the potential for new family members; if this isn't in your plans then note that it is a fertile period so act accordingly.
