The bracketed notes at the end of the analysis refer to sections in the annual write up that may be helpful in understanding the reasoning behind the write up. For example, NN represents North Node. The pertinent dates are at the end of this write up for quick reference. This htm prints at about six pages.
2005-mid 2006 are primarily about home and secondarily about career. The big build up with potential moving of residence takes place mid-2006. You may have already switched your thinking about what a home base should be for you, or that may be around the corner for you. This can be the time when we set up house for the first time, or perhaps become empty nesters with the need to downsize. Work demands may also increase at this time, and making sweeping changes at home can be possible. For some of us sweeping changes might be new furniture for others it takes a new country, house, etc. Members of your family or extended family can become daily companions and you might find yourself 'mentoring' a young one in career and education choices. Perhaps home demands become such that you have less time to devote to work, which can cause a fair bit of conflict until you adjust to the changed set of circumstances. [NN]
Until late October, Jupiter better known as Mr. Big stays in your tenth house of professional accomplishments. This can be a great boost for new recognition; the rewards might not be monetary. These are typically peak years in career, which roll around at 12-year intervals. However, this is also the area of recognition and awards for any sustained effort you have been expending with work, avocation or calling. Sometimes it is simply about the disciplinary parent figuring more prominently in your life.
The Mercury periods highlight three areas in your life. The ones at the end of the year both 2004 and 2005, bring the house of inner reflection into the picture. We tend to make many very private choices about our life, spirituality and beliefs. It's OK to turn the ringer on that phone off; let the machine catch it. We all need time by ourselves periodically, to recharge those internal batteries of ours. Get lost in a book, movie or gazing into space. Take baths, sit in the hot tub or sweat it off in a steam room; punch at the boxing bolster or lift weights. Private time for inner reflection isn't about sitting in a lotus position. Jot down those dreams and insights, then pick up a dream dictionary and start unraveling what your subconscious is telling you. Don't listen to gossip or repeat it; actually learn to say less for now or have long chats with yourself.
The Mercury period in the Spring accentuates family matters. What needs renovating, rejuvenating or replenishing with home and family? What would make you feel more secure and supported by life? Instead of getting frustrated with each other, time would be better spent talking openly and honestly about what we'd each prefer in terms of family time. Life gets rushed leaving us limited time to take stock and to acknowledge what works well and what does not. Light a roaring fire and invite family and those who are likely family for a night of reminiscing and looking through photos. This is a time to get your subjective view of yourself onto a more realistic and positive perspective.
If you started something new in the Spring of 2001 - it can now yield beautiful rewards. Any positive shifts and changes that took place back then are coming to fruition. It can also be a time of quiet realization that you want different things from life from here on out. Here is another emphasis on family matters - perhaps a child or a child getting married. Perhaps, you decide to buy that dream or retirement home now.
This theme has been going on for a year and a half now. Initially we feel the limitations and recognize the need for changes within our relationships. This can be a 'rocky' period in marriage, which can ultimately lead to a more solid relationship. For some it merely indicates that you are now associating with people who are either older or wiser than you are or who limit what you are able to do. During these times, some of our relationships fade into the annals of time or physical distance separates us from people we used to spend a lot of time with.
In July when Saturn moves onto Leo, for the next 2.5 years (until September 2007). Now we are talking about shared resources, savings, loans and debts. At first, we feel the limitations and recognize the need for new structures with shared resources. This can manifest in lots of different ways. I will try to talk about the strongest potential ones here. You may be relying more on the resources of your spouse, have monies being delayed and learning to get by with less. These times only roll around once every thirty years, thus they make life-style changes and a profound impact on our psyche. This is typically a time when we become more resourceful in our attempts to secure something in the material sense that sustains both body and soul. During this time, it is prudent not to extend credit or loans to others in larger quantities than we can afford to kiss goodbye. For example, in terms of what it might be, our children's security is represented by this very area of the astrological chart. Thus, you may extend 'loans' to your kids with a payment plan of whenever; just realize that. It is all about our attitude, and if you do not want to be the lender, it is up to you to say no and set those limits.
The third Mercury period in the Summer accentuates and brings reminders about shared money, assets and resources (see above). Money matters and obligations can feel overwhelming, but the opportunity here is to be able to find fresh new ways to tackle these problems. This can also be a wonderful time, with perhaps a few stressful moments, to build a stronger bond with your partner. Honesty and open dialogue is the key to achieving this. "It's the truth" - doesn't really cut it. We each have our own truths and we hear better about those held by others if they are voiced as my beliefs rather than truths, which we tend to instinctively equate with facts. This in excellent time to play catch-up with any research you have been meaning to do.[Mercury]
At the same time Mercury travels through Leo and has taken up residency there for two months, Mars moves in for an extended, six month, visit of the house of romance and our figurative and literal offspring. This is an exceptionally lengthy period and in terms of Mars rare. Patience and time is needed. Now it is about consistent, steady application of effort to either create things or tend to our children. In romantic matters, this can be a great time, unless your situation has fallen into a rut, which will take a bit more effort on your part. The best relationships get a lot of tender, loving care. That is theme now with children, romance and any creative projects - use tender loving care!
Venus spends three months in your sign. The last time was eight years ago 1997-98. Life cannot much more personal than this. I have stated it over and over in other signs - the one question Venus asks is DO YOU LOVE it. For you that 'it' is you. Are you happy and content with who you have become, do you appreciate what you do, how you look and what your attitude has become over the years? By mid-2006 you will be a brand new you with a new attitude to match. If this event is not close enough to your natal planets this time around, it will repeat again and again over a 100-year period. The next one is 2013-14. Venus always brings good things, it may take us a while to recognize that the changes were for the better initially but in time we accept this. Perhaps there is a pursuit you've promised yourself you will do in this life-time, and over the years you've kept postponing, and postponing. Maybe now is the time whedn you tell yourself that you want to pursue it now, not in twenty years. Enjoy the compliments that inevitably go with this long transit of Venus in your sign.[Venus]

If you are looking for more information about your year personally consider one of the two Solar Return Reports available online. These are written from your birthday to birthday. The one by Horacio Valescia is the most popular with my clients; the one by Mary Shea explains some of the astrologic behind the delineation. In addition I added a new predictive report by Gina Ronco on transits, which is like a personal horoscope, and I am getting a lot of requests from my clients for this one. There are also natal reports available for your child, yourself, your relationship and the latest addition is a Karmic Insight Report. - Order a personalized Report - The reports are insightful but cannot replace a personal consultation with an astrologer.
