Gemini 2007 Edition

May 20-June 20

"Begin each day as if it were on purpose"—Mary Anne Radmacher

Note: The write-up here is based on the Sun sign and if you happen to know your rising sign, I recommend you read that as well. Remember I am generalizing because the write-ups are intended for the millions who share your Sun sign, an astrologer can be more specific about your life once your date of birth, time of birth and location of birth are known. See special report offer.

What is on your mind this year?

What are the practical matters you need to learn to handle differently? In 2006 and this year, you are dealing with issues that related to your ability to sustain yourself. That means things like earning an income, working in an environment that does not upset your emotional well-being and taking strides to ensure that all of this work is leading to a ‘career' or toward a long-term goal that deals with what you could see yourself doing for the next 7 years. These are Mercury issues, which due to the fact that your ruling planet is Mercury are more personal for you than for most people.

Themes related to the above quote that began in 2006, continue in 2007—that underlying theme of having to roll up your sleeves and tackle daily issues with purpose. Let's review the end of last year. October 1 through December 7, there was extra emphasis on work, health and your relationships with your co-workers. The daily frustrations might have included extra glitches with the computer or other piece of equipment that was acting up; perhaps your vehicle. During those weeks you had extra time and motivation to think about your work, your daily dealings with people in your routine travels outside your home. You might have thought that you ought to make changes to your job and/or your attitude toward it. But the holidays at the end of the year and the days you could have off, etc. approached so you thought maybe later. The ideas that you mulled over will return for your consideration in September-October 2007.

(The astrology: From October 1 to December 7, Mercury the planet of communication and the one in charge of our daily routines was in Scorpio. He was moving against the grain from October 28 to November 17, 2006.)

January 15-February 2 plans for your future and travel arrangements do not gel as readily as you would like. Promoting and advertising, getting people behind plans and projects can be equally challenging. Maybe it is an indication that you need to fine-tune your proposals and plans. After March 18, things begin to move ahead slowly but steadily. February 2 through March 18 the focus shifts on career matters, if your plans and ideas are not fully developed chances are that you need to work extra hard to get everything that is on your plate accomplished. Remain flexible, battle that feeling of being overwhelmed by allowing yourself to live in the now. Our days remain a constant 24 hours and most of us need one third of that for downtime.

February 2 to March 18 and April 10 – 27

Mercury advisory—Head ups: February 13-March 7

Dealings with superiors at work, with government agencies and big companies take extra effort, persistence and perseverance. Get that second opinion, and review the notes from any work-related meeting by paying extra attention to those vital details. It's easy to miss something important, such as a decision, which made you responsible for carrying out a project, contacting a customer, supplier, etc. Omissions like that can prove costly with regard to your reputation, the potential annual bonus or future promotions. During this time it is best to handle all meetings and conversations with bosses and other individuals who have clout over your life with utmost professionalism. You may be acutely aware of the behind the scenes dealings that aren't all on the level—pretend outwardly that you haven't got a clue.

February is a month when things do not move along at the nice, fast clip you would prefer. It takes extra effort on your part to get your input and opinions heard. People are more reluctant to return calls or respond to emails within a reasonable time, which in turn, means that you have extra things to remember; keep a list. Life can feel somewhat overwhelming; you simply have far too many things to do. Maybe this would be a great time to cut back things out of your life and list of responsibilities to help free up time to handle the most important tasks well. The same theme played out last March but this year there is extra intention behind the stellar alignments, meaning that you might not be able to push issues onto the backburner or deal with them later.

Early April obstacles and issues with regard to professional matters and/or your reputation lift. Your expectations and attitude will have altered just enough so that you no longer want some of the things that seemed vital when the year began.

(The astrology: Mercury in Aquarius January 15-February 2 and March 18 to April 10

Mercury in Pisces February 2 to March 18 and April 10 - 27)

The retrograde Mercury in Scorpio (partly in Libra) at the end of the year mimics the one reviewed at the beginning of the column. Those heads up times this year are

February 13-March 7, 2007, June 15 - July 9, 2007 and October 11-November 1, 2007.

Jupiter in Sagittarius until December 18, 2007

During the years when Jupiter resides in our house of relationships, we meet all kinds of new people, who can enrich our lives. Some of them can sell us the ' London Bridge ' by being so persuasive and enthusiastic, and others can help us make 'bigger' and better connections. During this year, it is important to hold onto your own integrity, if it sounds too good to be true, it is. It equally important that you speak truthfully, any white lies (or actual lies) can take on a life of their own. It's a great year for learning to give yourself proper credit for who you are and what you are capable of doing—don't sell yourself short. Relationships in general take on exaggerated significance.

What do you need to differently?

Mars is in your sign twice, second time also in reverse gear for about a month. August 7 - September 28, 2007 and December 31, 2007 - March 4, 2008. Just in case, you wanted to know how long without calculating, three months, twice the norm. It repeats from 1990 and 1991 with same approximate dates. Mars in our Sun sign energizes us, makes us behave more boldly and perhaps more eager to take a few risks. During the retrograde period, November 15, 2007 to January 30, 2008, what you do and your money becomes the prominent issue. Your priorities are about to change. During the process, you will likely become more aware of the facets of your life you no longer appreciate as well the things you would love to be doing but haven't found the time.

Throughout the Summer until early Autumn, you are likely to find yourself doing more re-evaluation. From June 5 until July 14 and again August 8 to October 7, Venus is in Leo.

Venus is in Virgo from July 14 to August 8 and October 7 to November 3. That takes care of six months! The norm would be just shy of two months.

Throughout this time you are likely to be dealing with classes, courses, extra commuting and spending more time with siblings, neighbours and other people who are a part of your daily life. The essence of this time is to re-evaluate what is important to you. That Venus question is: ‘Do you love it?' If we are talking education, this stretch of time might have you reassessing the courses you are taking and perhaps changing course mid-stream. This can be an excellent time to learn something new that involves creativity, join the local acting group, try your hand at painting, Decorate the house from top to bottom, etc.

Venus will also spend extra time in Virgo, which for you represents home and family. You might be called to help or assist more than usual. Maybe you'll be asked for financial assistance. This year Venus spends six months in two signs of the Zodiac—Leo and Virgo— June 5 to November 3. The norm for Venus is to spend about 25 days in a sign. Venus will be retrograde for 43 days starting July 27 and concluding September 8. This period is personal for individuals born between September 22-25, August 7-11 and August 16-19. The same would apply if you had planets at the degrees activated by Venus, click here to read that information.

(Astrology: From June 5 until July 14 and again August 8 to October 7, Venus is in Leo.

Venus is in Virgo from July 14 to August 8 and October 7 to November 3. Venus will be retrograde for 43 days starting July 27 and concluding September 8)

Beginning in September family and home issues become important. The two plus years that follow may coincide with moving residence, renovating and with being more responsible for the welfare of another person. This year you may contemplate going back to school, getting involved in local politics and activities in your neighbourhood. Relationships become rather the intense in the final months of the year. Proposals around that time have an element of now or never. New approaches and ideas enter the picture early November and throwing caution to the wind can become a pronounced theme. Set aside money for that proverbial rainy day

Want to know more about your Year

If you are looking for more information than the horoscopes and reports can provide, you might want to consider a personal consultation, maybe some personalized astrological reports, etc.

Our personal year begins on our birthday. Astrologers cast a solar return for each year in order to look at the prominent themes for the year. The write-up here is based on the Sun sign and if you happen to know your rising sign, I recommend you read that as well. If you need more information than the columns on the web and your newspaper can provide, I recommend you talk to a professional astrologer. In addition to offering personal consultations, I also have two astrological reports for your personal year. The reports are available directly on line. Check below for a special offer .

Note

For the past few years, I have written rather long annual horoscopes for the year, which is once again a theme. Remember I am generalizing because the write-ups are intended for the millions who share your Sun sign, an astrologer can get more specific about your life once your date of birth, time of birth and location of birth are known.

Special Report Offer December 4, 2006 -February 15, 2007

Most of us are interested in learning more about ourselves and yearn to know what the future might hold for us. Many professional astrologers have written computer-generated reports, which offer a wealth of information. Each one I have purchased has been handpicked, because I personally liked it and it gave me additional insights about me. For example, I have two astrological reports for your personal year. The reports are available directly on line or you can email your request and pay with PayPal (the rates are posted on the order page). During December 2006 and February 15, 2007 you can order a natal report, a solar return report (nearest birth date will be used) and a transit report for a year via email directly from Anne all three for $10. (Note that time of birth is necessary for the solar return report). You can substitute an alternate report for one of the three.

Maybe you would prefer to read your Saturn's Promise, Chakra Healing Report and Karmic Insights instead. Place your order using the shopping cart.

The reports are insightful but cannot replace a personal consultation with an astrologer. Note the special offer on Reports valid through February 15, 2007.
