There are two Equinoxes each year one in the Spring when the Sun changes into the Sign of Aries and moves into the Northern declination. At the Autumnal Equinox the Sun moves into the opposite sign of Libra and crosses the ecliptic into the Southern Declination. At these times the light of the day and the darkness of night get an equal amount of each 24 hour period. After the Autumnal Equinox the days grow shorter and nights grow longer. We readily see Libra as the sign of balance. Her very symbol is the Scales of Justice.

Aries at the other end, however, does not get that distinction as he perhaps should, in view of the fact that it is the other equinox sign. The origin of the word, equinox, actually means equal night. The difference being that in the Spring the days grow longer. The Sun stays in Libra until October 23 at 13:08 PM PDT (Daylight Saving Time ends October 28, 2003), the publishing time of the Scorpio Edition of this Column.

"What is in your heart about your fellow man is most likely in his heart about you." - Sifre Deuteronomy

This month I chose another photograph by Dagmar von Hahn to illustrate this autumnal sign. I love trees, especially birches. In this image the foliage of the maple tree hidden behind a graceful birch tree has changed into a beautiful rich shade of red. This year we had a scorching dry summer here in the Pacific Northwest. Many of the trees dropped their leaves early. Many more were lost in the numerous forest fires that blazed through British Columbia August-September. However, I have this photograph from last year that captures the beauty of this season. This month's full Moon on the 10th of October is the Hunter Moon. Much like the Harvest Moon of September this one has a red glow.

To skip intro just read signs: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces.

The Essence of Libra

Libra is one word is NICE. Each sign has both a positive and negative side. The world, however, isn't black and white, rather shades of grey. In reality our wonderful world is filled with shades of colours. In the Spring the foliage of the trees is made of so many shades of green that it takes our breath away. Take a look at the photograph and see the many shades of red. So grey is relative as well. If we were to believe some of the scientific notions, we'd perhaps even believe that we dream in black and white. I don't think I have ever seen any of my dreams in anything other but vivid colours. Have you?

Libra is a dual sign. The houses in the astrological chart with a dual sign on the cusp typically indicate more than one of whatever the house indicates. The heart-shaped photo echos the relationship element of Libra. It is the natural indicator of marriage and partnership in astrological terms as it owns the 7th house in the flat chart. This is not to say, that individuals with a Libra Sun are unavoidably attached, or even dependent on others. Quite the contrary, many Libra Sun individuals wait a long time before committing to a relationship. Libra, after all, looks for harmony and balance. This is perhaps the sign most likely to marry a friend, rather than falling madly, deeply in love but for the love that has grown.

Did you realize that one perfect square and two perfect circles melded together form that heart shape? My artistic son taught me that so I could have my heart-shaped image. In astrology that perfect square is an aspect of friction, conflict and is like a tug of war between the two different, strong planets. Square aspects naturally occur between signs that share the same modality. Let's take Libra, which would naturally square Cancer and Capricorn. Each of these three signs are cardinal (the missing one is Aries). Cardinal signs are action-oriented based on the ruling planet. Libra's action is to create relationships, harmony and incite us to see the perspective of both sides. Libra unlike Capricorn does not want to break out in sweat over it. Each step is planned so that minimum physical effort is required. Capricorn's action is to create a career or avocation slowly, consistently while upholding tradition. It is only worth something if it involves work, no sweat no gain. Cancer wants to create an emotionally supportive environment, likes safety and security above all else. Cancer won't venture into new places without putting out security feelers first.

If we look at Libra Ascendant or Libra Sun we note that Cancer on the 10th house cusp. Thus if Libra is in a relationship with a Cancer, the partner feels more like a parental figure. For Cancer Libra falls on the 4th cusp, another parental house - this one typically assigned to the mother. Thus the combo has friction as each one tries to coerce the other to be a certain way. Astrology typically finds these relationships difficult and challenging as we need to address parental issues through our most intimate of relationships. But square aspects in themselves are wonderful as they create friction, and a sexual attraction. Despite the differences and issues (all relationships have these) there is chemistry in the square. So if we think that the two circles represent the two individuals and the square brings them together, it is a powerful image.

Libra is averse to arguments and fights, abhorring both yet extremely skilled at debate and excels at starting the pro and con ‘arguments'. They invented the job of the mediator, just to watch how it plays out with nothing vested in the outcome. What is just and fair is the role of Lady Justice. In reality justice may be in principle only, but Libra is the one to debate that question.

Libra is ruled by Venus. Traditional astrology calls this the day ruler, assigned to the masculine signs. Currently Venus is the evening star, and thus belongs to Taurus and the night. Libra and its ruler are associated with the 7th house of relationships, partnerships and marriage. It is the house of others. Others are metaphysically speaking a reflection of ourselves. Thus, this month's quote seems appropriate. The characteristics in others that both delight us and disturb us are simply facets of ourselves, we either acknowledge (the good ones) or deny (typically the bad ones). As we mature, we own more of ourselves and recognize traits we didn't when we were younger. Venus like the Sun can progress through a few signs in the course of our life, and reflect our changing values and relating style.

Venus is the planet we associate with social skills. Libra can be the ultimate master of those skills, always striving for balance, equality, and finding common ground. The balanced Libra does not like to offend rather always sees both sides of the equation and is quite adept at figuratively walking in someone else's shoes. They can sense how it feels to be someone else.

This is the sign we have coined as indecisive and lazy. Indecision stems from different sources, but in case of Libra, I think that when you can see the good and bad on both sides of the equation it becomes tougher to make a choice. Choosing between two things of equal value is tough for most of us, more than difficult for Libra. Lazy could also stem from the stand point that Libra does not like to waste energy, and what appears inaction could simply be the planning prior to action. The economy of action would probably be a better term. Read more about Libra - see Libra relating style.

Planetary cycles this month

This month launches with Mercury Direct once again, still in Virgo. Mercury moves into Libra on October 6 joining Venus and Sun already in Libra at the start of the Libra Sun Month. Venus moves into Scorpio on October 9. Mars moves direct on the 28th of September after sixty-one long days, and stays in Pisces until mid-December. Uranus moved into Aquarius on September 14, 2003 and moves back into Aquarius on December 30 to stay there for the next seven years. This month once again launches just after a New Moon.

I'll be back - Uranus

In March when I looked at the alignments for September-October I thought that the situation in the middle East would escalate, that the War on Iraq was far from over. The news has been hidden, or more to the point, ignored for a while. More soldiers have lost their lives during these quiet times than in the heat of the war. What is just and fair now? That will likely emerge as the question as will the United Nations role in all of this. Once again we might want to think positive thoughts and hope that further hostilities will be averted. Our thoughts can and do manifest.

On an individual basis this takes us back to the first quarter of the year. Opportunities missed back then can return in similar form. The question now becomes are you still poised to cease these, or have you found a different course on your Life's path? This can also be a wake up call both metaphoric and literal. Uranus is the planet represented by a lightning rod, poised to startle us out of complacency and into taking action to change things. Ignore the call. He'll be back - always. Can we dress him up and take him out, perhaps, but he sets the tone.

Mercury is Direct

Mercury has gained a reputation for causing disruptions over trivial matters once every four months. That period has ended and by October 6 it becomes a distant memory. The little events won't even be recalled a year from today, but he also will be back wearing the same colours. Same time next year we get another go around, and after that we get some seven years of reprieve from that particular theme. However, the themes from December 2002-February 2003 repeat starting mid-December. If you like to plan ahead perhaps reading my little article (14 pages but hey there is a printable PDF document as well) and see how my thoughts on the subject might resonate with you.

Venus in Libra

Venus remains in Libra another two weeks. Libra is so nice. Says the right thing and does not push others into action. Venus is in her own sign thus ready, willing and able to deliver the best. There is always a catch you have had to act accordingly to receive the benefits. If not, then this can be a time when you are at logger heads with the needs and desires of others as they do not match yours. Venus in Libra is the one who says "let's do lunch" just to be pleasant, and you thought it was an actual invitation.

Venus moves into Scorpio on October 9. Remember she spent four months in this sign Sept 7. 2002 - January 7, 2003. Fortunately, this time we are only talking a bit more than three weeks. But this awards us an opportunity to think what we really desired and wanted back then, which was denied or postponed. Well, now if you have obsessively worked toward that goal, things start to materialize. Kudos to you.

About Uranus

Uranus returned to retrace his steps for three months. Once again we are looking at ‘reliving' parts of the first quarter of the year. This tends to affect one area of life, and a sense of urgency prevails. The astrological chart divides our lives into twelve segments each represents an area of life and a set of people belong to each house. For example for Libra Pisces where Uranus returned from is the 6th house of work, chores and health and houses individuals such as co-workers and those we meet in the course of our everyday life. The house Uranus is revisiting is the 5th of romance, creativity, gambling, fun activities, sports and taking risks. This house describes our children and those people we let into our hearts. So from a Solar perspective we could speculate that Libra Sun individuals might get a second chance in romance, have a surprise pregnancy or get a chance to be on their favourite sports team after all. I will look at this with a sentence or two within each sign write up below. It is all speculative as I am only working with the Sun position and not the entire chart for the person.

About New Moons

New Moon has started the month for the past quarter or so, so each month from the Sun sign change perspective has a fresh new feel. This GREEN lights month more so. We can look at life with awe and wonder, and feel almost giddy because a sense of normalcy has returned. New Moons are the times to launch into or discover new things. It is about fresh starts. Perhaps after a few months of this now, we learn to enjoy each day more, and worry less about things that in the end do not matter one iota. I have some write ups about the Moon on this site as well as a graphic image, which shows the current Moon phase. Over the winter months I'll be posting some tables to allow you to calculate the Moon position for yourself and anyone else.

That's all I have this month, and now for the individual sign delineations. Reading these from the ascendant perspective may work better, should you happen to know your chart. There is a section at the bottom of the order reports on line which allows you to calculate your chart - you need a date of birth, place of birth and time of birth. This feature is free. The reports in this section range from three US bucks to twenty. I actually considered each report with care before I purchased them, I like them for the sound information they offer. This month the write ups address relationships and the significant switches in a very unformatted shape, just quickly written write ups with no heed paid to the word count. Note Uranus and Mars influence continues to year end.

Aries

Sun in Libra marks the halfway through the year for you and illuminates the relationship sector of your chart. As does the upcoming Hunter Moon. Thus, relationship issues figure prominently this month. You look for partners who have good social skills and who are accommodating and diplomatic to counter balance your own tendency to be a little self-absorbed and you strong urge to act and worry about the consequences later if ever. Realize that a nice, pleasant partner is a reflection of whom you have become and perhaps always were. We do often look for a complementary partner, and your sign for all its independent traits is seldom all alone. Uranus moves from your 12th house of doubt, fears, solitude and quiet contemplation to the 11th house. The 11th is where we reap rewards from our career type work or activity, and where we make those 5- and 10-year plans and where we imagine what could be. So imagine big through year end, so you can then create something big. The option is to start planning retirement or a more quiet, private lifestyle. Mars is moving ahead in the 12th so pay attention to dreams and personal goals that mainly involved just you, so at year end you can manifest those dreams. Avoid burning the candle at both ends and take lots of downtime, even if it is merely staring at the TV screen without actually watching. A form of meditation or a walk would naturally be better.

Taurus

The Sun in Libra shines in your house of work, chores and tasks you routinely do for others. This month is typically a good one for sprucing up your daily work environment and hanging around with co-workers a bit more. Annual health check up might be a good idea now. The Hunter Moon illuminates the house of secrets, fears, faith, doubts and solitude. It is easy to be nostalgic now, wishing for things that were and dwelling on the past. Your natural relationship axis features Scorpio at the 7th house cusp. So you tend to want a partner who is intense, private, passionate and makes you tow the line. The Mars effect has been pronounced since late July and ends late September. This has brought issues to the surface ranging from lack of support or encouragement to heated arguments perhaps even involving physical attacks. This might have been issues with the spending habits of your partner or the simple lack of money. Now that Mars is headed back on course, it will be easier to address the issues and fix, rather than simply assign blame or guilt. Uranus has backed into your career house from the dreams, wishes and just rewards house. This could bring old offers back to the bargaining table, keep your expectations and demands more realistic now.

Gemini

The area of your life the Libra Sun is brightening up and bringing into focus is the one where we deal with children, people we love, and creative work of any kind. Venus is also in the area until October 9. So the affairs of children are something you may find yourself addressing more. As we are talking Libra you need to be nice about it, and try to see their viewpoint before dictating solutions. The stars are aligned to provide romantic moments as well as inspire your creative side. This month can be so pleasant if you don't fight it. Reprieve at work and the opportunity to research or study a bit more. Travel opportunities may appear almost out of thin air. Dreams are more likely to be vivid and memorable, your choice whether you want to learn more about your own inner workings. We are both complex and yet so simply. We seek profound meaning into our life and often what is expected of us and by our higher selves is simple. Be good and be nice. Our partners often have these answers built right into them. You look for partners who are interested in the bigger picture, philosophy and also are sporty with a strong desire to explore both the mental and physical adventures in life. You may find that at present your partner/spouse is changing right before your very eyes. He/she is becoming deeper with a strong need to look beyond the surface with just about every issue in life. Share that journey to enrich your own life. Work matters are starting to move ahead, and now it is easier to talk with bosses and other people in a position of authority. That includes dear old dad.

Cancer

The Sun in Libra brightens up the area of life representing home, mother and roots. This, of course, like most concepts in astrology is both literal and figurative. So your mode this time of year might be to get rid of all the dust in the home. Throw out stuff you can part with and spruce up your nest for the winter. The less concrete matters are our relationship with family members, not just parents but siblings. This month is good for sharing feelings and thoughts with family members in order to build stronger bonds. Typically no matter what happens we can always count on family, even when we sometimes treat them shoddily. In relationships you look for someone who is reliable, mature, practical and can take care of things you may find difficult or challenging. Your views on relationships are very traditional. At present, when you are challenged by events and life in general to become more serious and responsible yourself, you may find that you project this onto your partner, seeing your own shortcomings in them. This is a good time to try to look at your partner in a more realistic light, and own some of those characteristics of yours that he/she is appearing to act out for you. Uranus slips back into the house of joint assets, savings and debts - perhaps now would be a good time to figure out a realistic budget. You've thought about it a lot but taking action is always harder. With education and travel start putting things in place now that you have had plenty of time to review.

Leo

The Libra Sun lights up your house of communication, daily appointments, travel and your daily environment. The people in this area of the chart (3rd house) are cousins, siblings and neighbours. This theme repeats every year. So it is likely that you are always busy the first month of the Autumn with all the little travel and your appointment book is filled to the brim. You are naturally social, and this month is the one when this trait becomes pronounced. In relationships you tend to attract a cooler creature to your side. Intellectual stimulation is important to you as is spontaneity or sometimes unpredictability. You like a partner, who can always surprise you, it's the shocks that you are not prepared for. At present you may feel deeply, madly in love or more appropriately, charmed, even when reality is that you just celebrated so many decades of marriage. This same trait can of course describe disillusionment, and you may need to pay more attention to the motivation of others, not everyone is up front about who and what they are. You like games but not mind games, so don't play. Stipulate your terms with clarity, especially with regard to business relationships and contracts. Uranus moved into this sector, so expect some of your relationships to be shaken up a bit. Financial matters are finally starting to look more manageable; you now know what needs to happen. This month is typically good for collecting monies owed.

Virgo

The Libra Sun illuminates the 2nd house of money, possessions and priorities. The people in this house are your banker, gardener, chef and therapists who work with your body directly. So apart from the fact that this might be the time when you spend the most on beautiful things, this is a good time for calling in monies owed to you. What you value and what things are worth are issues up for consideration. Time is one of these things thus priorities with how you schedule your time need a bit of scrutiny. Things that are not pleasant but drain your energy with little reward need to be eliminated either now or with force during a more heavy-duty transit (astrological cycle) down the road. We always have options, and this is the one area in your life where you know how to procrastinate with skill and finesse. The best excuses are still only excuses. In relationships you tend to fall for the dreamy, ethereal type of spouse/partner. Your practical side needs balancing by the otherworldly; you still daydream of Hollywood type of relationships. In the past few months your partner may not have quite fit the bill, asserting their independent streak and stating their point of view with determination. Relationships are always a two way street, and provided the issues were addressed, life once again settles into a more comfortable groove. The people we marry are not the same ones we retire with - figuratively that is. The intent of our partnering is that we have someone in our lives who continuously makes us grow and change, so that we can both reach our full potential.

Libra

It is your birthday month, and the Sun returns to your Sun, marking the start of your personal year. At birthday time we typically take a few moments or even days to contemplate what to do with the next year (for more information about your year check out the solar return reports available on this site). Our identity, appearance and attitude are the issue we tend to look at. A little attitude adjustment can manifest in wonderful changes in our life. The people in this house are the self (that's you), your maternal grandfather and paternal grandmother as well as your child's in-laws. What is going in their lives can present fresh perspective about what is going on in yours. So take stock of both your good points as well as those that need a bit of work. Say thank you to praise, and take a moment to congratulate yourself for the handling life so well. In relationships you tend to be drawn to individuals who make quick decisions, don't have a problem with asserting themselves and who like the thrill risk-taking provides. We typically look for a complementary half to ourselves.

This Hunter Moon illuminates the relationship house, and you just might meet someone else or your feelings toward your spouse/partner are strengthened. Yes, there can always be a bit of tension with a full Moon, but these can also just be plain romantic. Uranus is revisiting your house of romance, fun and creativity temporarily leaving your work house, where we also do routine chores and tasks and take care of our health. Exciting opportunities that incorporate fun into your work may surface. You could also be focused on innovating the way you carry out your work. Work matters on the whole are clicking along nicely, and the green lights are on for you to charge ahead full steam. Work could involve travel or new learning in the next year.

Scorpio

The 12th house is where we house our fears, doubts and yearn for solitude. This is where we encounter dreams and nightmares alike and most importantly where build faith. The Sun is taking up residence here for a month, it happens to each sign just prior to the birthday. So that would explain why some years we tend to become a little depressed and want no part in any celebration of moving closer to our expiry date (I firmly believe it is built in, we just can't find the label). So this is the time when most horoscope columns talk about taking time out, needing more sleep or suggest that learning meditation might be good. Once Mercury joins forces with the Sun later this month you may also find that stilling the mind is impossible, so perhaps planning to read, write, etc. during those sleepless hours is better than tossing and turning in bed getting more and more frustrated. The funny thing is that this is often the time when we need alone time and also the time the world beckons us the loudest. Like with everything try to strike some sort of balance.

In relationships you look for someone to ground you, be supportive and sensual. You are intense, passionate and sexual and need another to bring about balance. Your partner is also teaching you what your mission is in life. You need to learn to live in the material word and not get totally lost in the motivation of others nor obsessed in trying to uncover all the hidden knowledge. On a relationship front for you things are moving along smoothly. Your issues of late have just slowed your progress down and perhaps made you a little short with others. If you crossed that line, then now is the time to bring romance back into your life. Uranus returns to upset the apple cart at home, so a few quick questions to prompt you. Did you attend to that house insurance matter, are you adequately covered should a pipe burst or a water pump (any machine, which uses water) overflow and ruin the floors? This can be a time when kids move out or back in. There is likely to be quick rearranging of space to adapt to those changing circumstances. We all know it was years ago when kids moved out and stayed on their own; it is a different world. Perhaps taking the attitude that TODAY everyone is doing great might help. (It is my latest chant.) Creative energy returns and some of those doubts become distant memories. You are on a roll, your ruling planet Mars is back on track!

Sagittarius

Libra is on the cusp of the 11th house for you (from the solar perspective or if you happen to have charming Libra rising). In this house we have dreams and wishes, friends, colleagues, long term goals and rewards from our avocation or career. Being a full-time parent is a bit of both by the way. So get ready to socialize, accept and issue invitations. Choosing which ones to accept when there are options galore can be challenging for you (typically are). Also it takes you longer to decide what you want to do with your life, and which dreams to pursue. Once you mind, however, is made up there is nothing that can stop you. In relationships you prefer someone to balance your philosophical bent with just talk, information and intellectual stimulation to make you see different points of view. You need someone who can see the details that tend to be illusive for you as you scan the forest at the distance. The past three weeks could have brought about minor disagreements with partner, so go ahead kiss and make up; it was mighty trivial wasn't it? You need to get yourself back on track with pursuing your dreams and perhaps settling a little when it comes to employment expectations. That luck will turn. Uranus has slipped back into the education, studies and travel sector in your chart. Is it time to revisit the issue of returning to school to complete your education, obtain the ticket, diploma, certification, etc.? You have an ever-curious mind so age is irrelevant here, people return to get their PhD's at age 60+. Yes, most times, people need to borrow money to do this, and it may not be as easy as you thought. Get resourceful, how badly do you want this?

Capricorn

The attention is on your career and avocation, which is where the Sun is beaming down. You typically have a few careers going, one that you are working on the most, and the contingency one and then there is the dream one. You won't waste effort and know how to solicit help in getting there. Now the networking gods are with you. The people here are those in power and one of the parents, I typically talk in terms of mother, but it is the one who imposed the most rules on you and made you tow the line. Now, in relationships you look for emotional support, and someone who understands and is tuned into the inner, softie in you. Relationships may be quite challenging at present, as the question posed by the Universe is ‘are you going the distance'? Are you prepared to support both emotionally and financially with the affairs of the partner? You may be quite willing to meet them more than halfway, but without a commitment, you are balking. In baseball that gets the runner an extra base, so perhaps you need to proceed with caution and over time rather than want decisions instantaneously.

Uranus has moved back into the money house and a cash crises can reappear, so watch the spending; it is amazing how quickly only two or three bucks adds up to several hundred. Don't splurge to hurt is the message. Time is valuable don't squander it on things that serve little purpose and don't give you satisfaction. You now have a few extra months to contemplate your priorities and what is most important. It is also the time when we get to assess our inherent worth and value. Don't sell yourself short, remember it is your assessment not someone else's. Philosophically speaking, I think that when we check out of this world and into the next, the only person that judges our actions and attitudes is looking at the world through our eyes. We judge ourselves! So in conclusion, we need to be happy with ourselves.

Aquarius

The 9th house of the astrological chart house in-laws, our priest and foreigners. The issues in this house are higher education, the Holy Grail or our philosophical quest and teaching what we have learned. Religion and foreign travel also belong here. That is where the Sun is this Libra month with Venus and later Mercury. So some or all of these issues and some that aren't identified in the quick list above occupy your thoughts and potentially take you places. This can be armchair travel or actually boarding the plane for a trip of a lifetime. The intent is to broaden your horizons and perspective, there is more to Life than meets the eye and then some more. There are always new things to conquer or at least learn about. The world has shrunk with the advances in travel to distant places and we also run into foreigners in our own neck of the woods. Different religions and beliefs should not alarm us; rather we should be happy to have the exposure as it teaches us so many spiritual concepts.

In relationships you like to pair up with someone who doesn't mind being the centre of attention, someone considered a ‘star' by their peers. Your analytical bent needs some fun time to balance out life. Life along the relationship front is moving along smoothly, you personally may be a bit detached as you ponder life's big questions. Remember not to block your partner out, share your quest and thoughts that is what your partner was looking for, your intellectual, and inquisitive mind. Uranus is back in your Sun sign and it will provide yet some more disruptions and sudden changes, you became accustomed to this over the past seven years, you can do four months standing on your head. The intent is to give you the opportunity to change your mind or attitude about one or two issues. Money matters are starting to look more settled, however, do keep close tabs on expenditures until the new year, when it becomes easier for you to hold onto money.

Pisces

The Libra Sun is in the 8th house of mysteries, life, death and rebirth, the inevitable issues in life taxes, elimination (the literal one as well), surgery and commitment - body and soul. In this house we have the people we surrender ourselves. Heavy-duty stuff and you of course, have a few views on the topics. Sometimes embracing and at others totally disregarding their validity. At present your mind dwells on all of these issues, on a mundane level you need to organize your finances and perhaps even negotiate a loan or funding. Your commitment to your cause is demanded. The Sun here alone typically does not bring about surgery, certainly not each and every Pisces Sun individual. It is not, however, the time to neglect health matters, pain is not natural! Mars has been hovering in the same sign as your Sun since March. Vitality has fluctuated as has your motivation, and you may have changed your mind dozens of times while trying to determine what you truly want and have to have. Now you can move ahead without constantly looking over your shoulder, and your vitality should increase with every issue you put to rest.

You look for a practical partner, one who can organize life's trivial, every day matters better. Your focus is always on what it all means in the final analysis. The current outer planet transits, namely Neptune and Uranus, on one level are creating an atmosphere where people are becoming more tuned to unseen forces. Your sign is the most psychic of the bunch, and that veil between the here and now, and the eternal is growing thinner by the day, making your perceptions and insights interesting to say the least. What is real and what is surreal can become blurry. Dreams we envision in our sleep are no more potent than the dreams and visions that filter in while we are awake. Pay attention to the symbolism, and put those insights to good use. Trust your finely tuned instincts.
