This year is about building personal assets and working hard toward your goals. You have new kind of determination now and are willing to take some uncharacteristic risks. Your life has already taken turns and twists in the past two years that may even have surprised the intuitive you. Personal security is of paramount importance now regardless the stage you are in life. For the young Pisces this can be an exciting time in building a career somehow involving being in business for yourself. You are firmly at the helm the next few years and steadily building a solid foundation. Oh, to be the right sign at the right time. Try to enjoy even the surprising twists. This could also be the year, when you meet that someone special, who shares your values. Subtly, in the background, your personal values shift and you learn to appreciate yourself more, not through the eyes of others but you own. Until late October, Jupiter better known as Mr. Big stays in the 8th house of shared resources and in Libra. You have financial backing and commitment of others quite readily available to you. Opportunities you may have all but forgotten about can return now; be ready to seize them. Intimate relationships tend to mature with this stellar influence or merely re-enforce the potential of falling in love or more deeply in love. On an advisory note it is prudent to review insurance matters, tax documents and have proper counsel if negotiating a loan - know in detail what you are in for should you decide to get that mortgage or business loan.
The Mercury periods highlight three areas in your life. The ones at the end of the year both 2004 and 2005, bring work/career matters to the forefront. Impulse control might be quite the challenge, but you can rise to the occasion. Your eyes are rather firmly focused on what the future holds, thus chances are you won't 'fight' for anything trivial. How you deal with authority figures, starting with parents continuing through bosses and governmental bodies is under personal review. You want to right any wrongs, and being too impetuous could cause more harm than its worth. We all make mistakes, it is how we react when it happens that either makes it even bigger or keeps things in realistic perspective. Laughter is potent energy; work on creating more moments filled with pure joy.
The Mercury period in the Spring brings financial matters to focus. Watch your pennies is the theme. Now it is about our ability to sustain ourselves, to earn a living and to value our own convictions. You may find that the views of others have you questioning the validity of your personal beliefs. What kind of feedback are you giving yourself now? Are you doing great or feeling like the fun has gone out of it all? Looking for inspiration is the theme. Once those passions are ignited, there is no stopping you. There are only so many hours and you want to be making the most of them, thus it may be a good time to trim down your schedule. Could you ask for help or delegate differently?
If you started something new in the Spring of 2001 - it can now yield beautiful rewards. Any positive shifts and changes that took place back then are coming to fruition. It can also be a time of quiet realization that you want different things from life from here on out. This could be a welcome money boost, and a bit of praise for what you have been working on for the past four years.
This theme has been going on for a year and a half now. Initially we feel the limitations and recognize the need for feeling more fulfilled. There can be issues with parents as well as children that have been challenging. If we are unhappy it isn't because of someone else, it is because of us. If we get praise for something that we feel we are not doing that well, it sounds hollow. Until we are pleased with our own effort personally, we may not feel that we are having that much fun. This can also have been a dry spell in relationships, but the next year brings sweeping changes that reflect the inner changes within us.
In July when Saturn moves onto Leo, for the next 2.5 years (until September 2007). This is another indication of working hard for the next couple of years. We learn skills by doing things repeatedly, it took us a while to learn to tie our shoe laces as we age the skills we need to acquire are a tad more demanding. This could also be an excellent time to focus on building vocational skills. Ultimately, this is a very productive period, but we humans tend only to recognize this in hindsight. Remember the importance of taking time off regularly we all need some playtime as well regardless of age.
The third Mercury period in the Summer involves the house of work and chores. Now you need to pay attention to detail, and be heads up at work especially if it involves tools. Paper cuts are painful but if you forget to put the safety down on a saw, you can end up with more than that. Inspired ideas can make work, chores and learning new skills seem exciting and interesting. Love what you do or learn to love it or change it, those are the issues on your plate now and throughout 2005. These can be those years, when we juggle a few jobs and perhaps even take night classes. Learning how to delegate and cope better with co-workers, helps improve your attitude in your daily life. There are better ways to accomplish tasks, and you are likely brimming with ideas. Sharing your ideas without upsetting others around you can be a tad more challenging. However, you'll find the right words. [Mercury]
At the same time Mercury travels through Leo and has taken up residency there for two months, Mars moves in for an extended, six month, visit of the third house, astrologically speaking, associated with travel, learning, neighbourhood, cars and communication. I have to get practical first, make sure your brakes are in good working order and that you keep up to date with oil changes, and all that basic maintenance. Mars retrograde period can be costly with cars if we don't take care of these ahead of time. Maybe you should print this part out for yourself; as you'll be busy, busy, busy during this six month period. Extra travel, extra studies, extra visitors and lots more dealings with siblings, cousins and there are the practical matters that involve money and paperwork. You can ask for help, remember that. During this time, we tend to learn to think differently, and your problem solving skills improve. It is about pragmatic and practical effort in all of it. Just stay methodical, and if you extra activity involves coaching the kid's sports team, despite a lack of time, give it your all. Beautiful memories are what we take into our twilight years. [Mars]
Venus spends three months in your astrological house of dreams, wishes and aspirations. Long-range planning on how you can be doing what you love is a theme that gets played out quite repetitively for you this next 1.5 years or so. We tend to make new friends at these times, and we work steadily for rewards that might not manifest for four years. The Venus-Mars dance emphasis the houses of learning and travel. You might find yourself travelling and exploring more now or meeting someone special at a distance or with a background completely different from yours. This configuration is nice for water signs such as Pisces. Late September and early October can become a rather memorable time.

Venus-Mars Dance: On December 5, 2004 we had a Venus-Mars conjunction
at 16°Scorpio 33'. Venus made an impact on that degree in 2002, when she
stationed retrograde. It is so like Venus to repeat the zodiacal degrees.
In October 2005 Venus and Mars will oppose each other at 23°Scorpio 22'
while Mars is retrograde. The opposition was flipped with both in their own
signs back in the Spring of 1984 and 1999.
