"The more I think about it, the more I realize there is nothing more artistic than to love others" — Vincent Van Gogh
Taurus loves stability, steady progress and the good things in life. They also are naturally averse to change—status quo is nice, because it is predictable.
Note: The write-up here is based on the Sun sign and if you happen to know your rising sign, I recommend you read that as well. Remember I am generalizing because the write-ups are intended for the millions who share your Sun sign, an astrologer can be more specific about your life once your date of birth, time of birth and location of birth are known. See special report offer.
The Mercury cycle repeats from last year. No matter how great an idea, unless we feel emotionally comfortable with it, we cannot act on it. Our world functions on 'facts and figures', logic and practical action. Now we are asked to explore a side of our innate nature that does not seem to fit well into the equation—the function of Mercury to do deductive reasoning. Are you comfortable with how life is flowing in these areas of relating? What is it you feel you need to eliminate from your thinking, and daily routines?
From early February until April Mercury takes up residency in your 11th house of future aspirations. In this area, astrologically speaking, we also find colleagues, friends and acquaintances. So on one hand it is about discovering and contemplating what you would like your future to be-and what types of rewards you seek for your worldly efforts. On the other hand, you may find yourself faced with 'lessons' through your encounters with friends and colleagues. Remember that words once they hit the airwaves are difficult to retract. After March 7, rational logic makes it easier to discover new solutions.
(Mercury in Pisces February 2 -26 & March 18-April 10 (47 days); Mercury stations direct in Aquarius)
From late May to early August, Mercury takes a tour of your solar house associated with siblings, travel, daily environment and dealings with people in our daily lives. Are you happy with your daily routines? Have you managed to accumulate too many tasks with little time to call your own? During this time, it's a good idea to pay extra attention to how you are 'filing' receipts, documents and perhaps schedule a computer clean up day for June. Your vehicle is another matter you might want to put on your 'to-do' list. Get a tune up, check up, perhaps the brakes are squealing, make sure it is in good knick. Also make a special note to keep closer tabs on wallets, laptops, cell phones, i.e. all those portable things we have to haul around nowadays. It's easy to lose these now or have them 'stolen' from you. So lock it up or stow it somewhere safe.
(Mercury in Cancer May 28-August 4, June 15 - July 9, 2007)
In the course of late September through November, Mercury visits your solar house of relationships-relationships with spouse, lawyer, associate, partner, and all of the people in our lives collectively. During this time, it's important to listen to others with care and empathy. It's a great time to bond at a deeper level. Note communication issues may be pronounced during this time; sometimes we do not translate our thoughts into the words. This is a time, when it is best to avoid signing any contracts, your reasoning may not be sound or there could be problems with the actual paperwork. It's best to let important decisions wait until after November 1, just to have clarity.
(Mercury in Scorpio Sept. 27-October 3 and November 11-December 1; Mercury stations direct in Libra)
For a year and a half, you have been learning about limitations at home and with family. This can range from renovations that took much longer than expected to having less space thanks to family members moving back in. This continues through September 2007. Then come the years (about 2.5) when you are dealing with adult children and their lives, starting a family and perhaps find limited time for your 'fun' projects and activities.
To emphasize the family matter, from the end of July to the beginning of September, we have a period of re-evaluation. For you, this is mostly to do with family and home; but also with how you personally see yourself in the here and now. It might all begin with the realization that you are not having enough fun. Maybe sharing ideas, goals and aspirations with the people you care about the most, has become all too sporadic. Your current housing situation might not be to your liking after all, and you begin to think about ways to make changes.
This year is about growing your assets, savings and investments. It would also be wise to visit your physician for an opinion if you have been feeling poorly (or in pain) for a while. The year might also include surgical procedures, note that not for everyone, the potential simply increases.
Beginning October, how you handle travel, communication and daily routines begins to change. Could be something as trivial as needing to get new brakes for the car, and spending lots of time at the shop in order to get it done right the 'third' time. Might be dealing with a new kind of commute to work, perhaps this is the year you'll begin tele commuting more—virtual companies and offices are now more common place. Getting new projects off the ground from November 15 through the end of January 2008 can take extra patience, one step forward, and two steps back, while you fine tune what really needs to happen.
We typically begin questioning our faith when things that we cannot understand take place in our experience. That question why, begins a quest to understand the nature of life. We are human beings not human doings, but the world that we live in makes doing the most important thing.
This process represented by Neptune in astrology is a slow one, about 14 years through a sign or a solar house. Since 2003, the tenor of these subtle, subconscious forces has gained an element of 'surprise'. It is currently year eight of building faith through both external and internal trials and tribulations. For you it is about the importance of a career and your reputation; perhaps what your personal legacy will be. In the course of these years, the setting of your career will likely have gone through significant changes. Structures that you relied on have dissolved. Are we what we do and what more is there to life and its meaning?
Where are your convictions changing?
In addition to all of the other things going on with varying intensity, you are also looking at money, earnings, assets and your personal level of commitment in a different light. In the course of this year, the issue intensifies and some of those clues as to how took place in November-December 2006. You might have come face to face with mortality. Maybe someone close to you was faced with a debilitating disease, scary surgery or perhaps you had to attend a few funerals. These sorts of things tend to make us ponder the meaning of life. Does it end with a funeral? Is the life beyond life? See also Jupiter column for the year.
Are you making new plans for your future? Do you feel trapped in what you are doing? What could you be doing that would make a difference. This influence, also, is longer lasting (until) 2010. Some months you don't even notice the influence and at other times it is acutely on your mind. Are you balancing obligations with enough creative or fun activities?
Since 2003, getting out of the rut has been a theme. February is a month for reviewing your success on this front. Beginning May through year-end you will have many opportunities to become interested in something new—studies, travel, hobbies, etc. Variety is the spice of life, and this year you seek it. Starting July family and home are important—news of babies, marriage and other similar milestones are likely this year.
September begins a three-year stretch during which you'll be spending more time with kids, spouse and teaching yourself to have more fun in life—maybe the planned kind. You might not feel as weighed down by responsibilities. The one thing where we have absolute freedom to change is with our attitude toward life.
Our personal year begins on our birthday. Astrologers cast a solar return for each year in order to look at the prominent themes for the year. The write-up here is based on the Sun sign and if you happen to know your rising sign, I recommend you read that as well. If you need more information than the columns on the web and your newspaper can provide, I recommend you talk to a professional astrologer. In addition to offering personal consultations, I also have two astrological reports for your personal year. The reports are available directly on line. Check below for a special offer .
For the past few years, I have written rather long annual horoscopes for the year, which is once again a theme. Remember I am generalizing because the write-ups are intended for the millions who share your Sun sign, an astrologer can get more specific about your life once your date of birth, time of birth and location of birth are known.
Most of us are interested in learning more about ourselves and yearn to know what the future might hold for us. Many professional astrologers have written computer-generated reports, which offer a wealth of information. Each one I have purchased has been handpicked, because I personally liked it and it gave me additional insights about me. For example, I have two astrological reports for your personal year. The reports are available directly on line or you can email your request and pay with PayPal (the rates are posted on the order page). During December 2006 and February 15, 2007 you can order a natal report, a solar return report (nearest birth date will be used) and a transit report for a year via email directly from Anne all three for $10. (Note that time of birth is necessary for the solar return report). You can substitute an alternate report for one of the three.
Maybe you would prefer to read your Saturn's Promise, Chakra Healing Report and Karmic Insights instead. Place your order using the shopping cart.
The reports are insightful but cannot replace a personal consultation with an astrologer. Note the special offer on Reports valid through February 15, 2007.
