"Everything has its beauty, but not everyone sees it. " -- Confucius
Finally, there is much change with the planets! Mercury is in Gemini until July 10—all told about two months—providing new ideas and helping set the tone for the year. Mercury is at home in this inquisitive, adaptable sign. We are free to change our minds and find new ways of thinking and being. Until mid-July, each of us has the opportunity to make adjustments in our daily lives to make life more interesting. Yes, Mercury will turn retrograde for about three weeks, May 26 -June 19. Heads up if you are planning to purchase a car, computer and other major item equipped with intricate wiring during those weeks. That three-week period tends to be a little tricky; I personally avoid major purchases for about 9 weeks each year.
Venus remains in her own sign, Taurus, which typically means we want to spoil ourselves a little. For some of us it means more luxurious meals and others might choose to shop for other kinds of luxury items.
The biggest shift takes place on Friday the 9 th , Mars moves onto Leo after months of ‘lollygagging' through Cancer—hip hip hooray! Leo is an enthusiastic, exuberant fire sign that loves to play and have FUN. Mars and Mercury will be working together in harmony for a while, which tends to spell that we can put our ideas into action and feel good about moving forward.
Wednesday and Friday evening and Monday morning, we have long ‘void of course Moon periods', trying to launch new activity, get a contract/agreement or shop for things is not favoured activity. What is favoured is going with the flow, performing routine things or brainstorming and taking time out. So we have two perfect evenings for a bar-b-q or a ball game (any activity you enjoy but can't find time in your busy schedule). Monday until lunch stick to activities that do not require a decision.

Aries March 20 -April 19
May is a money month for Aries, great time to review your priorities and revise your budget. Finding new ways to generate income is a strong potential for the next couple of weeks. Mercury will ensure that you stay busy, have lots of mental stimulation and fill that calendar with lots of social activity. Your creativity is high until early July. Make room for play and fun activities, the more you do, the more energy you will have. Spend time with kids; hit the gym, the golf course or the ball diamond; try something new and enjoy all that life has to offer.
Taurus April 19-May 20
Our birthday month is about realigning our desires— from awareness into action. Mercury in your financial sector until July 10 brings money matters into the picture. It's a perfect time to find new solutions, collect information and formulate new ideas to handle that ever-important issue. 2008 is about getting those practical issues in life under ‘control'. The more you know… Your home is your castle; is it reflecting that at present? This week you may feel you deserve a few luxury items, however, avoid impulse purchases. Things make us feel good for such a brief moment.
Gemini May 20-June 20
The month before our birthday is about stepping back a little, reviewing the year gone by and imagining the year ahead. Until July 10, Mercury is in your sign, which livens up the two months. Who have you become? Does life feel like an adventure? And most importantly, what do you think you could for yourself in order to be in better harmony within. There is plenty of mental stimulation, new ideas and opportunities for socializing—enjoy. After the many weeks of ‘idling', waiting for the right moment, it is mostly go-go-go for the balance of Spring (Autumn on the Southern Hemisphere).
Cancer June 20-July 22
After Thursday, things really begin to motor on. As grandma used to say ‘there is light at the end of the tunnel'. Spend quality time with friends, stop to chat with neighbours and acquaintances—when we connect with others, we gain insight into a whole array of issues and those important resources. Through early July, is an excellent time to realign with what you want for yourself, and what you find most important these days. In our busyness, we tend to forget things that used to come naturally and now need reminders. Pay attention to the messages in casual conversations, dreams and even in nature. Birds for example are considered messengers.
Leo July 22-Aug. 22
Your busy six weeks begins on Friday; you are likely to feel highly energized and know that you can ‘take on' whatever is in the offing. May is the month when work and career matters are important each year; with current planetary combinations, this year is likely to bring brand new opportunities. Which ones do you want to pursue? 2008, is about rekindling your innate enthusiasm and following a lengthy period of mulling things over in your head, you are likely to have a clearer perspective; you know what you don't want and can now concentrate what you would like to try.
Virgo Aug. 22-Sept. 22
This is an excellent week to test the ‘waters', enquiry into and about possibilities. Through exchanging ideas, talking it up with others we find new opportunities we did not know where within easy reach. It is also a good time for gathering information and knowledge, relatives might figure more prominently during this week. Maybe that cousin, uncle, etc. could give you a ‘leg up'. Accept those invitations, realign with your intuition—it hasn't led you astray as a rule, has it.
Libra Sept. 22-Oct. 23
The exciting months for Libra are May-June and Sept-Oct. The world is your oyster! Depending on what you have been setting in motion—but of course—May can be the month when you pluck those plums, your harvest. Things can come together with ease, and there is renewed enthusiasm. We set the course for our lives, and at predictable intervals, we have a lot of assistance from the Universe. This is that time for Libra, avoid settling rather go after what you desire full throttle. Do ensure that you stay sensible with financial matters.
Scorpio Oct. 23 – Nov. 21
All systems go—Mars of enthusiastic action climbs atop your horoscope for six weeks starting Friday, which translates to worldly accomplishments and renewed energy to put plans into action. There is much support from friends, partners and colleagues—all those precious resources at your finger tips. Pay extra attention to details now (through early July), read before signing anything (especially that important small print) and avoid rushing. This week is excellent for uncovering resources and information will help you along the way.
Sagittarius Nov. 21-Dec. 21
It's a big world out there, opportunities around every corner and available for those who wish to explore. Every couple of years, we have these 6-week periods, during which the universe is encouraging us to rekindle our passion and enthusiasm. Learn something new every day, broaden your perspective and connect with the unfamiliar. You are likely to meet new, exciting people that foster the sense of adventure. Enjoy the resurgence of enthusiasm. Yes, it is also a time when you need to pay attention to your duties and obligations at work, and may have more work hours than usual, but… it all balances out over the next few months.
Capricorn Dec. 21-Jan. 19
That busyness didn't subside, the focus simply shifted. Many details demand your attention, and that pile of paper won't disappear, you'll have to sort through it all, ranging from tax stuff to correspondence, phone calls, etc. We call it multi-tasking, however, might you do better by making a priority list. Remember, now is the time to back up data, do maintenance on all of those electronic equipment/gadgets we rely on—better safe than sorry, right. Also, you might cope best by making space to work in a setting without interruptions; the how, is up to you.
Aquarius Jan. 20 - Feb. 18
You will have more time for socializing now; the overwhelming ‘workload' is subsiding. It is time for putting some fun back into your life; play with kids, find a bit of time for your hobby, or take up one. When was the last time you had a romantic dinner, night at the theatre or the ball game? May is great for playing, romancing and enjoying life. Creative energy can be high, tap into it. Let my favourite proverb serve as a reminder: “Everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emotional and a spiritual. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time, but unless we go into every room, every day, even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.”
Pisces Feb. 19 - March 20
Family and home matters are important through early July. We can clear our space with intent, rearranging furniture etc. until we feel the energy shift. Make room for the new. There are new resolutions in the stars, and you have the mindset of finding new ways to do things. It can be an extra busy time at work and with work-like activities. Remember to set aside leisure time as well; it is best not to attempt a marathon every day. Pace things as much as you can.

The Sun changes signs at slightly different times each year. This year the Sun moves into Pisces on February 18 at 5:32 AM PST and in 1950, the Sun moved to Pisces February 18 at 9:18 PM PST. So babies born on this date in 2005 year after 5:32 AM have the Sun in Pisces, but in 1950 babies born until 9:18 PM the same day had Sun in Aquarius, provided both were born in our time zone. I have changed the dates below to reflect the fact that you could be either on the dates the Sun changes sign.
The dates will vary for those born in Australia or UK for example. The Sun moves into Aquarius at 3:21 PM PST (15:21) on January 19, 2005. We are 8 hours behind GMT thus in Britain it would be 23:21 PM on the 19th and for Australia's east coast we would have to add 19 hours to the Pacific time which makes it the 20th at 10:21 AM. Therefore, it also depends on where you were born.

Every two and a half days Moon changes from one zodiacal sign to another. In her routine travels she forms aspects with other planets, but after tha last aspect prior to changing sign she is considered void of course. Aspects are communication lines, while Moon is not making these connections with other planets she is dancing to her own tune, receiving no advise, no objections, merely seeking her own counsel. Things started while the Moon is void of course tend not to amount to much. The best use of this time is to think of it as time out. Goof off, work on routine chores, don't arrange meetings etc. as these tend to get rescheduled anyway. Things we buy during these times which can last for up to two days oir as little as minute or two tend to end up taking space, and they were simply purchased on a whim not to serve a purpose. I used to take my older vehicles through air care when the Moon was void, I figured that as the gist is - nothing will come of it - the clonkers would squeek by air care no problem - and they did. See the extended listing.
I spent a fair bit of time job hunting in the mid-nineties, all the interview times that were offered or conducted during Moon Void of Course times came to nothing. The interviews went great, wonderful conversations and good learning tool for the next one. I have an article on the site about the Moon and the Void of Course Moon.
The dates for the horoscopes vary between different sources. The word cusp became popular to describe this fact. However, the Sun does move about with precision, by knowing the time, date and location we can calculate where the Sun is with precision. You can have two people born on the same date and one is a Capricorn Sun and the other an Aquarius. Where you were born is important. There is a free chart calculator at the bottom of the order reports page. You need to know the date, time and city/town of birth.
