There are three air
signs in the Zodiac (Gemini, Libra
and Aquarius). Air signs are intellectually oriented and communicative, and
approach life from a mental or logical stance. They have an inherent need
to protect themselves from the irrational, illogical or incomprehensive should
they experience something along the lines then the questions and rationalization
begins. Air signs are social creatures and like to discover facts and points
of curiosity value with people.
If you can categorize and make sense of it with logic, then surely emotions can be categorized as well or at least the air signs will give it a rational effort. If each individual had each element in balance we'd strike a healthy distribution of emotion, logic, practicality and inspired action, however, all of us are unique and at best we all have an imbalance somewhere.
Fire initiates endeavours, sparks the inspiration. Earth
is the elemental force that helps give form and moulds to our visionary ideas.
Air is the element we need to think and analyze, to formulate these ideas
further. Water is the element we use to determine how what we have created
makes us feel and how it can feed our needs.
Hollywood has taught us that when something sad happens such as a death or a loss, we need to weep uncontrollably and be incapable of rational action. We don't all feel this way. Each one of the air signs has a different approach and as individuals we have each of these three air signs in our make influencing three or more areas of our lives. (To identify the areas we need to know the particulars of birth such as the date of birth, the time of birth and the place of birth. Next we need to look at planets and the aspects that are formed. We also look at the houses, which represent areas of life, and how these are influenced by the zodiacal sign on the cusp of the house as well how the planet which rules the particular house is positioned.)
St. Valentine's Day takes place when the Sun is in Aquarius, in countries where this day was not traditionally celebrated it has become friendship day in the last two decades or so. Friendship is the apropos word for Aquarius, not to say that they avoid marriage type one on one relationship but these are typically formed either very young or considerably late in life. And the partner needs to be a friend as well not just a lover. This is another zodiacal sign we call a freedom sign, do not keep the leash too short. Jealous behaviour is alien to Aquarius, they give you room to move and expect the same back in return.
Aquarius is often coined eccentric, the one that walks to a beat of a different drummer. Note that Aquarius comes in a lot of varieties some are more like Capricorn, steady and stable. Aquarius is an air sign, who approaches life from an intellectual point of curiosity. They are fascinated with what makes people tick? They also like analyzing life and relationships in order to bring them to a perspective that they can comprehend. It is not about how it feels but logically does it make sense do the pieces of the puzzles fit. Aquarius is a fixed sign like Taurus, Scorpio and Leo, and fixed signs once they do mate do it for the long term. Many lasting marriages based on mutual friendship and respect for each others ideologies are cemented in February. In the 3rd through 5th centuries Valentine's day was about pairing couples for marriage, part of the SaintValentine's day legend.
The fixed signs are Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius. Within each mode all of the elements are represented. Taurus is fixed earth, known for sustenance, follow through and it role as the provider. Taurus knows how to carry out the actions started by Aries, it does not mind the hard work it involves nor the time it takes. In nature the little buds on crocus and daffodil may come out in April with the Sun in Aries but the blooming starts with Taurus. Leo represents fixed fire, all fixed signs are interested in maintaining status quo, and change is not that welcome. In terms of fire this might be the smoldering log in the fireplace that won't be extinguished. When the Sun is in Cancer our crops mature, but when the Sun gets into Leo it's time to get ready to harvest. Fixed signs cannot be pushed or cajoled to do anything they do not want to do, all of these signs stubborn, not just Taurus the first one in the sequence. Scorpio is the muddy, dark period when earth becomes dormant. Mother earth's surface takes a welcome rest in preparation for a fertile spring. Leaves fall of trees, grass wilts away and in the northern parts the earth prepares for a blanket of snow. The Sun in Aquarius follows the ambitious Capricorn phase, the Sun is in its fall in Aquarius, but if you have ever witnessed the brilliant sunshine in snow country in February he does not appear weak, the hours of daylight may be short but they are potent. In Finland February is called the pearl month, and I have always wondered if the glistening Sun on the cold snow banks is what got the month its name. All of the fixed signs have patience and staying power, they do not measure time in seconds or minutes but in years and decades, each one knows how to wait patiently.
Intellectual stimulation galore when you are with an Aquarius, they are almost a verbal as Gemini, but they are after the truth not just information. They are as capable as Scorpio in digging deep to find out what motivates others, but here you do not encounter jealousy or possessiveness.
Aquarius may come across aloof because of their strong intellectual penchant but beneath the surface you do find emotion and someone who needs assurance from others. Social in group settings and more withdrawn in one on one encounters, there is safety in numbers, and Aquarius does not like to reveal its vulnerable side all that quickly. This sign is fairly easy to keep interested simply have personality traits and quarks that are different, be emotional or intense, be the drama queen and you will be irresistible to the intrigued Aquarius.
Who handles the intellectual conversationalist the best?
The combinations of signs are work in progress, and will be posted at a later date. Relationship reports are available for ordering on-line, click here.
