Anne Massey, C.A.P., is the current and founding president of the Fraser Valley Astrological Guild. Massey is a member of ISAR and of the Finnish Astrological Association. Anne Massey teaches astrology classes; she also lectures, writes, and is a consulting astrologer. Massey's book—Venus: Her Cycles, Symbols and Myths was published by Llewellyn in the Autumn of 2006. The book on the planet Venus provides an in-depth look at the astrology of Venus, from cycles to mythological foundations to aspects of Venus, and Venus in each sign.
Anne is currently compiling her book on Mercury—Celestial Billiards.
Spring 2008 Saturday Classes

Note in the Autumn 2008, Anne will not be offering classes. A workshop may be placed on the schedule, should there be interest/need for one. Anne will continue to offer private tutoring.
March-April: I will do 2-4 Saturdays or Sundays for Level II prep for the May 2, 2008 exam date. This depends on how much review you think you will need. Level II exam does not include prediction! We could also allocate one of these days for a mock exam if you like. Let me know if you are interested in this one, and if you are planning to write the exam. Possible dates:
Each Saturday is $62. Pre-registration one week prior is required. Course outline dependant on the needs of registered students.

If you have achieved Level III certification with the CAAE I recommend that you keep good records of your astrological studies, making note of workshops, conferences and classes you have taken. You may present the material directly to CAAE for approval or present it to Anne, who will present it on your behalf.
Anne will be presenting a workshop on medical astrology with colleague, Thays Sukhanova, details are available at www.astrologyguild.com. This workshop is geared to be a part of three in a series.
These courses will be 24 hours in duration and will be geared toward qualification as an elective for the CAAE professional certification module at Level IV. Contact Anne for additional details.

The recommended textbook, Mythic Astrology by Ariel Guttman and Kenneth Johnson
Note additional reading is highly recommended, I have been a professional astrologer since 1988, and am continually acquiring new knowledge. I teach both classical and contemporary astrology, and will illustrate those brilliant rules from 2000 years ago. In fact, we will be looking at authors from the Hellenistic era and the medieval one to learn how much of astrology has not changed at all.
I am also a distributor for Cosmic Patterns software, for my students I pass on significant savings from retail. You will be provided two natal reports of your choice via email out of these four: Merlin report by Gina Ronco, Child Report by Horacio Valsecia, Karmic Insights by Gina Ronco or Chakra Healing Report by Lorna Houston. These will allow you to understand your own chart a little better. You will be provided a natal and a progressed chart, and other natal chart related printouts. I recommend that you also provide two or three family members or friends' data, so that you have some example charts to work with in class. These are included in the course fees.
Tests knowledge of natal planets, transits, solar returns, solar arcs and secondary progressions. Achievement at this level demonstates a high level of astrological proficiency.
Full chart delineation is expected. Essays and short answer questions. In order to successfully pass this exam you need to be proficient in predictive as well as natal chart delineation work.
The exams in in the autumn and in the spring will be administered by Anne Massey but marked and evalutated by CAAE. Certificates are issued upon successful completion of the exam. A passing mark is 70% or higher.

I recommend Progressions by Robert Blaschke as a textbook. I am using Mythic Astrology by Ariel Guttman and Kenneth Johnson as a textbook for natal astrology. I highly recommend it as a wonderful resource on the archetypes in astrology.

Please note I brought back 20 tapes from the ISAR conference. These will be available in class. I will keep close tabs on the handpicked selection of lectures. I attended the classical astrology track at ISAR. Learned some new timing tools from the medieval and Hellenistic era, and will share that information in classes. These classes will have hands on practical application of techniques including a client file with events and illnesses.

Introdution: I have a hard time visualizing concepts based on words I hear or read. When I began teaching structured astrology classes, I realized I was not alone. I ended up creating illustrations, tables of data, handouts and explanations for all kinds of concepts. Recently, some of my students began teaching structured classes and asked if they could use my handouts. In my class, some of the new students asked for handouts I had presented in another class. Therefore, I decided to compile some of them in this booklet, which is the result of numerous astrology classes and lectures I have presented over the years.
I hope that the illustrations on these pages help you learn astrology more thoroughly and understand some of the astronomy, geometry and mathematics behind the wonderful subject of astrology. Mostly this booklet is intended as a handy-dandy reference for students and teachers of astrology. See inside front cover for contact information for ordering this publication.
Astrology is a wonderful language of symbols. Learning to use the information effectively is a lesson in layers upon layers. The planets are the actors in our life’s play; the signs represent the qualities and characteristics our actors have. The houses are the sets or stages in our personal play. The sets or stages are self, money, communication, home, children, work/health, relationships, commitment, expansion, status, friends and the subconscious to give each area but one word. In addition, we have aspects, which describe the way the actors in our play interact with each other.
Natal astrology is often the first concept we learn, we want to understand ourselves, eventually we begin looking at prediction and find more tools—transits, progressions, etc. There is always something new to learn.
