Looking for great software - this is the one I have used for almost two decades. The program allows me to calculate charts with numerous house systems, add asteroids, newly discovered bodies and hypothethical bodies to the wheels and printouts. I can generate listings of planetary phenomena, do extensive research with my database. Kepler is delivered with a database of famous individuals and corporations, as well mundane events. The program has a multimedia interpretation of harmonics narrated and written by David Cochrane, which has been a favourite with my children and their friends. They have sat mesmerized listening to the computer speak to them about their nature. Kepler 70 has an extensive selection of locational charts, astromaps and innovative treasure maps, so you can research how life would be around the world for you. As a professional astrologer I appreciate the many features, including the ability to cast Vedic Charts and read the included reports and information about Vedic astrology. For students the program has astrological lessons-- 47 with the release of version 70.
I used Kepler 70 to generate listings for my Venus book, researched the stationary degrees, unique conjunctions with Mercury and Mars, With a few clicks I was able to find the people in my data base with Venus Retrograde, Stationary, etc. I found it useful when teaching my students about astrology; the ability to generate the Moon's listings for the day, the planetary cycles and various reports to provide my students with a different view of concepts that I might have time to verbalize in class. The Eclipse Maps, Sky Maps and the excellent encyclopedia are wonderful tools for understanding what concepts mean and how they look visually. I have used version 7 for many years now, and I doubt that I know all the features yet. When I don't I pick up the phone and call Cosmic Patterns, who offer excellent customer support on the spot. There are a multitude of optional Reports available for Kepler, I have bought several of them over the years. It began with the Child report and this Spring I bought the Nakshatra Report, the Moon in your chart from a Vedic perspective. See the reports available for on this site. Cosmic Pattern also hosts an online service for many of the reports you may buy from them, so all you have to do is promote the link and once every quarter you will receive a commission check, passive income--what's not to like.

I am excited about the fact that I can now calculate Hellenistic Charts, have the program calculate the lots and I can concentrate on delineation rather than calculation. The customization of the wheels is a breeze and I love to be able to put all of the data I use on one page with the wheel, and keep the wheels I designed in a section called my wheels! I can now use my own photographs as the background and create my own artwheels. The program has planetary mandalas, a huge array of forecasting methods and listings; planetary house, medieval void of course Moon listings, which are different from modern usage. Profections, all of the Arabic Parts with formulas, chart wheel patterns, compatibility patterns, midpoint section is extremely comprehensive, planetary hours, animated charts for four wheels, so you can choose times most effectively, and so much more. In short this program does more than you will ever use. And it is easy to use.
I am still playing with my program to see what else it will do for me. This is the email I sent to Cosmic Patterns when I received my copy of Sirius. "Congratulations! Superb! Vow! There are two reports in Finnish, the Iris Asteroid report by Roderick Kidston and the Progressed Lunar Phase report, which is included with the purchase of either Kepler or Sirius. These are available exclusively from Anne Massey. Both Kepler 70 and Sirius 10 have Finnish Versions. The menu is in English as is the help menu. The program has basic information about the program and astrological vocubulary from English to Finnish. When new information is added to the program in Finnish, owners of the program are able to download updates. This is the first astrological software with Finnish content. If you would like to help in creating more Finnish features, I would love to hear from you. And yes, you can send it in Finnish.
Pegasus is an entry level program, it includes interpretive reports. It is ideal for astrologers, who wish to provide a report service. Some of the newly released reports will not function in Pegasus, because the advanced functions needed to generate data for the report are not available. I personally recommend this for hobbyists only. However, the price is enticing. US$100 + shipping and handling. Read up on Pegasus at Cosmic Patterns Website.
Suppose that you decide to purchase Pegasus, and later you decide that you wish to purchase Kepler. Pegasus owners can upgrade to Kepler 70 for $225, instead of paying the full price of $300. Most of the cost of your Pegasus program is deducted from the purchase of Kepler if you decide to upgrade to Kepler at any time after purchasing Pegasus.

• Jyotishtools Vedic charts - excellent for a beginner. Downloads reasonably fast. Freeware.
• Starlight from Kepler - this one even has an excellent atlas. Downloads fast. Freeware.
• 30 day trial version of the Tara Software for horary astrology by Maurice McCann.
• The Astrology Matrix, Winstar, Tarot Oracle and more software. Lots of demo programs on this site.
